Music Groups

Band

Our purpose is to enhance worship by accompanying whatever music is played in the service. We have four music groups, each with leaders, singers and musicians. Each group plays one Sunday per month. There are a range of instrumentalists who play, e.g., B-flat, E-flat, guitar, flutes, violin, etc. New people are always welcome. Each group leader organises rehearsal times, and rehearsals are held at the church. No costs are involved.

Choir

We aim to sing music with lots of harmony and meaning in our morning worship service. Anyone who loves to sing is welcome to join us. We rehearse (usually) on the first Wednesday of the month from 7 to 9:30pm. We rehearse and sing in the church on the second and fourth Sundays, from 9:30am … and we are looking for an accompanist!

Gospel Choir

We learn and perform Gospel songs, adding another style of religious music for our worship services. The Gospel Choir is open to anyone who would like to sing Gospel-style music. We can perform either the first or third Sunday of the month, but not necessarily monthly. The group discusses what songs we sing and suggests performance dates. Generally, we meet at the church on Friday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30pm—the group decides on rehearsal dates.
