Bible Study Groups
Monday 7:30pm:
This group provides opportunities for people to grow in their faith and apply it to their personal lives; to share with and encourage one another and uphold one another. This group generally caters for ladies. We meet on Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30pm at a private home. There is no cost involved.
Monday 8pm:
We read and discuss parts of the Bible; support and encourage one another; build community; and pray for one another, the work of our church and the wider community. The current membership consists of men and women between about 50 and 80 years of age. We meet on Mondays from 8 to 9:30pm, in participants’ homes, and have supper after our meeting. The only cost involved is for an occasional new study book which usually costs about $10.
Monday 8pm:
We meet and fellowship together on a weekly basis throughout the year to sing praises to God, study and discuss parts of the Bible and other Christian material and to pray for one another and the church. We meet on Mondays from 8 to 9:45pm (with a light supper to follow); at various members’ homes; and are usually led by Bryan Henderson, with help from five others. We follow the school year so do not meet in school holidays. This is a mixed group with people from both church families. The only cost likely is for buying study material. As this is already a large group you may like to consider joining one of the other groups.
Wednesday 8pm:
We meet to fellowship together on an (approximately) weekly basis throughout the year; to study and discuss parts of the Bible and other Christian material. We are usually led by Jacob de Ridder and we are open to anyone who is interested. This group meets on Wednesdays from 8 to about 9:30 pm, with a light supper after that. We usually meet at a group member’s home. We may study a particular book for six weeks or so, and then take a break. At times we have continued through the school holiday period, but sometimes we’ll make a group decision to have that time off. Usually there is no cost, but occasionally a study book may be offered for sale.
